Circle City Ringers is an auditioned, bronze-level community handbell ensemble located in the greater Indianapolis, Indiana area.  The group is a proud member of the American Guild of English Handbell Ringers (AGEHR) and our mission is to:

	Increase awareness of the art of English Handbell ringing
	Provide ongoing education about English Handbell techniques
	Build a distinguished reputation by performing locally and nationally in both sacred and secular contexts
	Achieve musical excellence as a professional-grade community ensemble
	Encourage others to learn about and experience the art of English Handbell ringing

     The ensemble formed in the fall of 2004 to fill the need of several ringers who had been members of the former Indianapolis Handbell Ensemble, which disbanded in the spring of that year.  Since then, the group has evolved to create the exciting ensemble that exists today.

     Each season we actively recruit, audition and select the finest handbell musicians in the Indianapolis area.  Under the musical direction of Mike Keller, we perform year-round and are available for many different types of appearances including:

     At present, the ensemble rehearses weekly on 4-1/2 octaves of Malmark handbells and 3 octaves of Malmark chimes, which are the property of the Otterbein United Methodist Church in Indianapolis.  The church has graciously allowed us the use of their equipment and rehearsal space and, in return, we ring periodically for their worship services.

     We simply cannot adequately express our gratitude to the Otterbein United Methodist Church for their generosity and for allowing us the opportunity to bring our music (and lots of big smiles) to so many people!
